Maintenance Construction Tech

Bear Republic Brewing Company is looking for a Maintenance Construction Tech to work at our facilities.
The Maintenance Construction Tech is responsible for the installation of new equipment, infrastructure, and/or upgrade of the current facilities.
THE FOLLOWING JOB QUALIFICATIONS ARE NECESSARY FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • 3 years minimum related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain a must.
  • An aptitude for trouble-shooting basic mechanical and electrical systems is preferred.

Sous Chef

Bear Republic Brewing Co. is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work closely with our Executive Chef.
 

The Sous Chef is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, and provides professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel. The Sous Chef will help plan and direct food preparation in the kitchen and assist the Executive Chef with menu planning, inventory, and managing of supplies. You will also aid in making sure the kitchen is up to safety standards and that staff are obeying sanitation rules. During mealtimes, it is important that the Sous Chef be quick on his/her feet and be able to make smart decisions instantly. This position is full-time. Must be available for evening and weekend shifts and have a flexible schedule.
 

THE FOLLOWING JOB QUALIFICATIONS ARE NECESSARY FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

     

  • Proven success as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a high volume restaurant.
  • Strong passion for culinary excellence and guest service.
  • Experience managing a busy kitchen.
  • Experience ordering and monitoring supplies.
  • Culinary training or extensive cooking and production experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years working in a food preparation position with at least half of that time supervising others.
  • Awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
  • Understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment, including stoves, refrigeration, slicer, knives, and dish machine.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handler’s card.
  • Professional communication skills, oral and written. Bilingual a plus.
  • Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and is a team player.
  • Works well under pressure.

Packaging Operators

We are looking for experienced Operators join our Packaging team. The Packaging Line Operators will be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing and operating our packaging equipment.

The perfect new team member will have production/manufacturing experience, ability to drive a forklift, and an aptitude for trouble shooting basic mechanical systems.

THE DAY TO DAY:

  • Perform kegging and bottling operations with semi-automated machines.
  • Oversee quality control of package, including managing crews’ treatment/handling of packages.
  • Change over packaging equipment for various package types and ensure that packaging standards meet established guidelines.
  • Follow Brewery SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure) for sanitization, cleaning of equipment and operation of machines
  • Fulfilling general maintenance work orders for packaging equipment.
  • Performing set-up, sanitation, operation, and routine maintenance of bottling line and supporting equipment/systems.
  • Conducting on-going assessment of quality control and operational procedures.
  • Ensuring adherence to packaging schedule.
  • Maintaining awareness of current packaging and sterilization advances and technologies.

IMPORTANT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Experience with safety and sanitation protocol and policies and ability to follow all such policies.
  • Demonstrates proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Computer literate. Able to work with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Accurate record-keeping skills. Familiar with computer data entry procedures.
  • Hardworking, motivated, goal-oriented-individual with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain a must.
  • Availability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Hardworking, motivated, detail oriented individual with high quality standards.
  • Ability to give and take direction in a team environment and manage the priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. f requently and 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • An aptitude for trouble-shooting basic mechanical & electrical systems preferred.
  • Works well independently and cooperatively with others.
  • Strong communication skills spanning all levels within the organization.
  • Forklift experience or willingness and ability to learn.
  • Spanish language skills a plus
